Mei Chiao

Position: Undergraduate Thesis Student

About:

Mei joined the lab in January 2024 as a research assistant, and will be continuing her work as a fourth-year undergraduate thesis student. She is currently enrolled in the Biochemsitry Co-op program. In her free time, Mei enjoys swimming, cooking (and eating), and spending time with family and friends.

Research Interests:

Mei is currently building upon the lab's existing Antiobiotic Resistance Platform to construct a liquid version allowing for the rapid dereplication of known compounds in over 180 bioactive natural product extracts.
